Who funds us?
The Wider Europe Network is funded mainly through the reinvestment of income earned by the core team in working with external organisations, thus ensuring its independence. A secondary source of support is grants from organisations such as the Centre for East European Language-Based Area Studies (UK). These grants facilitate the organisation of conferences and seminars. Finally, the network has occasionally received modest sums from private sector sponsors and from local authorities – a full list of past donors can be found here (under construction).
Our total income per annum is very modest and we are not in a position to offer donations or sponsorship to third parties.
